Privacy Policy
Last updated · June 2026
At Valanzano AI we respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information We Collect
When you create an account we collect your email address and a username. If you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and basic profile information (such as your name) from Google. If you sign in with a one-time code, we use your email address to send that code.
We may also collect limited technical information, such as your IP address and browser type, to keep the service secure and prevent abuse.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to authenticate you, operate and maintain the service, respond to your messages, prevent fraud and abuse, and improve Valanzano AI. We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell it.
Your Conversations
The messages you send to the assistant are processed to generate a response. The public assistant runs on our own locally hosted AI models — your messages are not sent to third-party AI providers to produce its replies.
We do not offer saved chat history: your conversations live in your browser for the duration of your session and are lost when you clear them or close the page. However, for security, abuse prevention, and to improve the service, we keep server-side logs that include the messages you submit together with a timestamp. These logs are not linked to your account. Please avoid sharing sensitive personal information in your messages.
If you save custom instructions, we store that small piece of text on our servers so we can personalise the assistant's responses for you. You can change or clear it at any time from Settings.
Web Searches
To answer questions about current information, the assistant may search the web or fetch public web pages on your behalf. When it does, the relevant search terms or URLs are sent to third-party services (such as DuckDuckGo, Google, or the websites being fetched). Avoid including sensitive personal information in messages that may trigger a web search.
Cookies
We use a single session cookie to keep you signed in after you log in. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. If you disable cookies, you will not be able to stay signed in.
Third-Party Services
We rely on a few service providers to operate: Google (for "Sign in with Google") and Mailjet (to deliver one-time login codes by email). These providers process the minimum data needed to perform their function and under their own privacy terms.
Data Storage and Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information from unauthorised access, alteration, or disclosure. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, including your account, by contacting us. You can update or remove your custom instructions yourself at any time from Settings.
Children
Valanzano AI is not intended for children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date, and we encourage you to review it periodically.
